Today I went to my local Outback Steakhouse and let me tell you the food was pretty good today. I had the 6 oz. sirloin with a loaded baked potato for my main course. The steak was very well seasoned, though they did overcook it a bit the flavor of the spices they used was well combined. The baked potato however, was a little bland, like it could have used perhaps a little more sour cream. I also tried the adult side of mac and cheese versus the kids mac and cheese. I’ll be honest with you, the kids mac and cheese was way better. the adult mac and cheese had way to much breadcrumbs. while the kids mac and cheese was a little bland, its nothing a little salt and pepper can’t fix, whereas the adult mac and cheese is just mostly breadcrumbs barely any mac.
for the appetizers, I had the cheese fries dipped in ranch as well as the onion blossom. The cheese fries were great as usual, but I kept losing the cheese :(. The onion blossom was alright. A bit to onion-y for my taste, and the sauce that came with it was not good, so instead I dipped it in ranch which made it more tolerable.
on the plus side though, the service was great. He was constantly making sure I had everything I needed and answered any questions that I had, advising on what to get. My brother got the cucumber kiwi refresher, and the waiter made a quip about how he would go back behind the bar and make it himself, but they don’t like it when he goes back there.
overall, it was 10/10 service, and 7/10 food.
