• The Power of Pause: Discovering Stillness Within

Have you mishandled a season of Rest? What happens when we mishandle a season of stillness? There will come a point in life where there is a pause. In those moments, stillness is essential. Some of us are uncomfortable with being still. Stillness forces us to see things without rose-colored glasses. Rather that’s in ourselves, family or with the environment around us. It forces us to see the truth and who truly likes seeing the Truth? Sometimes the Truth is dark, the Truth is something we’ve been running from. With some of us, we’ve been running from ourselves. Since we live in a society that glorifies “Hustle Culture”, we tend to use that as an escapism. However, it’s crucial to recognize that true success and well-being often come from a balance between action and reflection. Stillness is where being patient is tested and reflection is needed. Being reflective brings you back to reality and keeps you grounded. Learn how to be in the NOW. Learn how to become present within yourself.

Whenever you come across a “pause” , your subconscious will often tell you ” you need to move, you’re getting behind in life”. Often that’s when frustration kicks in. Frustration leads to cloudy thoughts. Those cloudy thoughts will lead you to a cycle of emotional chaos. As ‘soft’ as this may sound, but become comfortable with sitting with your emotions. Listen to what they are telling you.

I’ve been in isolation for four years. I mishandled three of those four years. Three years of frustration and sadness. Those empty years, trying to fill a void with temporary things. I never took the time to listen to my emotions and what they were telling me. I’ve realized that I let time pass me by all because of how I mishandled my “Pause”. Now here I am, in my emotions, because I’ve been searching for peace. Not realizing this the whole time, my peace was in my Stillness.

The Purpose

I often feel that vulnerability brings connection. Sometimes vulnerability helps us operate in our ‘RAW’ nature. I’m using this blog to not only speak my truth but to also speak the truth that others are afraid to say. When we open up and show our true selves, including our insecurities, fears, and imperfections, it allows others to relate to us on a more authentic level. By sharing your truth and addressing topics that others might be hesitant to discuss, you create a space for open and honest dialogue. This can be incredibly powerful in breaking down barriers, reducing stigma, and helping people realize that they are not alone in their experiences.
